Living with a Deaf Cat
A genetic anomaly causes blue-eyed white cats to be born deaf. I have not been able to find out what percentage of them are deaf - but it is fairly common. Odd-eyed whites are often deaf on the same side as they are blue eyed! This anomaly is present in all the several breeds in which blue-eyed white cats occur, from Persian to Oriental to the lovely Turkish Van. You would not, of course, go out looking for a deaf cat to adopt... (posted by Summer 3 years 254 days ago.)

Modern Day Nomads
Historically, nomads have been considered a little...suspicious...by settled people. In "The Tao of the Horse" Linda Kohanov makes a case that this is cultural conditioning. "Civilized" nations (the Greeks for example) would use up the resources in an area and then set out to conquer a new area - often one dominated by nomads. Like every other political power in the universe, they demonize the people they would like to conquer -... (posted by Summer 3 years 254 days ago.)

8 People foods that are Pet poisons
Almost anyone who has a pet, knows that people food is not pet food. You cannot provide proper nutrition for your dog or cat by simply feeding them the same dinner the rest of your family is eating. But did you know there are many people foods that we might be tempted to give our pet as a "treat" that could be harmful to them? 1) Alcohol – depending on the amount ingested, alcohol can cause our companion animals to... The easy solution, is not to buy a live animal at all, but one of the wonderful plush toys instead. In general, giving a live pet... (posted by Summer 3 years 331 days ago.)

Did you read the title? Then you have read the entire amount of information most websites and books offer on the subject! There are tantalizing mentions of Epona here and there, but very few sources offer a large body of information. With the resurgence of the old religions, there has been a corresponding surge of interest in some of our oldest, least known gods and goddesses. Sadly, due to the concentrated efforts...
